The Inner West Multicultural Access Project is an information, referral and support service. It focuses on service evaluation, structural development, community development activities and cross-cultural training for management, staff and volunteers of Home and Community Care (HACC) services.
The Program links people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD) in the Inner West who are frail, aged, people with disabilities and their carers with
Home & Community Care (HACC) programs.
The Program employs Korean, Pacific Islander, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese and Manipuri Bilingual Workers who can:
Provide you with information about HACC services in your area in your language
Refer you to services you need
Support you while you are using HACC services if you have problems communicating with service providers
Educate your community about HACC services if your area
Advise appropriate government departments about the unmet needs of people with disabilities, the frail aged and their carers in your community.
